W3SVC state

W3SVC service was successfully connected.

      You can use Configuration application - basic setup and install filter to IIS to connect local or remote service database and restart W3SVC service.
      This section has a short info about W3SVC service state - stopped, running or pending.
      There is a message 'Not found or access denied' when you do not have desired access to service database, when W3SVC service does not exists or computer does not exists.

ISAPI filter installation

IISTracer is installed to IIS and loaded. You can see iistracer interface at /iistracer URL

Configuration application - basic setup and install filter to IIS let's you connect to IIS administration on local or remote computer and add or remove IISracer from IIS metabase.
This section has also info about IISTracer and matabase - filter may be not installed (filter is not in metabase) or installed. It also shows state of the filter when instaled

Loaded - filter is loaded as ISAPI filter and working.
Unknown - there was some change in metabase, W3SVC needs to be restarted.
Unknown/Error - filter cannot be loaded (filter DLL is missing, corrupted, etc.)

There is a message 'Not found or access denied' when you do not have desired access to metabase, when IIS admin objects does not exists (You do not have IIS4 or greater or you do not have IIS) or computer does not exists. Then you can install the filter to IIS manually, see Frequetly Asked Questions .

When IIS admin objects does not exists, you have to install IISTracer manually.
